Depuis Hurghada:
Une croisière qui démarre d´Hurghada vers le Nord donne une combinaison parfaite de plongées sur récifs et de plongées sur épaves. Abu Nuhas comprend 4 épaves célèbres - Giannis D, Carnatic, Chrisoula K et Sea Star - qui reposent à des profondeurs raisonnables sur un beau récif couvert d´une multitude de coraux durs.
La plupart du temps, les plongées s´effectueront depuis l´annexe du bateau, et votre bateau vous attendra à l´arrière du récif, protégé du vent et des vagues.
Les plongées de nuit peuvent être superbes dans cette région, particulièrement à Shab um Isk avec de nombreuses danseuses espagnoles. L´île de Gubal offre un ancrage protégé pour la nuit, une petite épave à 8-10m pour une plongée de nuit et d´excellents plongées en dérive sur le mur est.
Rosalie Moeller est proche mais très difficile à plonger en raison de sa localisation: du côté non protégé, très profond et courants très forts. Une petite navigation à travers le détroit de Gubal est nécessaire pour aller visiter la plus célèbre épave de la Mer Rouge, le Thistlegorm. En fonction de l´expérience des plongeurs, de la météo et des conditions de courant, nous essayons également d´offrir une plongée de nuit sur ce site. Le Thistlegorm est généralement la "frontière", d´ici le bateau retourne vers Hurghada
North
Le Sud
Les côtes Sud de la Mer Rouge se caractérisent par une extraordinaire diversité. Des récifs, des tombants époustouflants attirent des nuées d'espèces récifales et des bancs de poissons pélagiques.
Vous aurez également la chance d'évoluer dans un cadre magnifique, où le rouge et l'ocre des montagnes et du désert se fondent dans le bleu de la mer.
Vous allez découvrir Elphistone, un des sites les plus grandioses, avec son tombant couvert de magnifiques coraux et ses multiples poissons aux couleurs arc-en-ciel paradant aux alentours, ainsi que ses deux plateaux décorés de gorgones et de coraux fouets. Shaab Samadai, offre un lagon abritant des familles de dauphins, curieux et joueurs, ils accepteront votre présence. Shaab Sharm, entouré de tombants vertigineux basculant depuis des plateaux peu profonds, les aquariums et jardins de coraux vont vous fasciner à Radir Eastet Shaab Shirinat.
Le pétrolier de Ras Banas et le remorqueur (Tienstin) de Shaab Abu Galawa offre un spectacle merveilleux
Deep South
This itinerary covers the coastal section of the southern Red Sea offering stunning diving on a huge variety of reefs, walls as well as hard coral gardens teeming with fish life.
Some of the best dives are made in the early morning when you are most likely to find hammerhead and grey reef sharks circling around the tips of reefs such as on the north plateau of the famous and exposed reef of Elphinstone with its shear walls covered in soft corals.
St Johns is a collection of small reefs offering some of the best diving in the Red Sea. Habili Ali will make even the most experienced of divers sigh with wonder when admiring the forrests of huge fan corals and black corals that populate its walls. At its western end grey reef, silver-tip and big schools of hammerhead sharks may be observed. Have also a look out for the curious and impressive bump-head parrot fish that are typical for the St Johns area.
Shaab Sataya, the largest reef system in Fury Shoal, has it all - shear walls, ancient amphorae and yet another possibility to swim with big pods of friendly and playful spinner dolphins.
Shaab Abu Galawa Saghira with its wonderful hard coral garden in the shape of an amphitheatre is truly memorable.
Les îles Brothers
Vous allez découvrir cette aura légendaire de la Mer Rouge. Les récifs regorgent de vie et de couleurs. Anthias dorés, poissons de verres opalescents, alcyonaires pourpres et fusillers chatoyants s'égaillant sur un fond aux dégradés bleus composent un tableau surréaliste.
Tout est là pour retenir votre attention et vous accompagner, tortues, napoléons, thons, ainsi que tous les pélagiques dont vous rêvez, requins marteaux, requins de récif, l'impressionnant requin océanique à pointes blanches, raies mantas, poissons lune, et l'incroyable requin baleine. L'épave de la grande Brother et les tombants abrupts piquetés de coraux et de gorgones sont inoubliables.
Marine Park B/D/E
The Brother Islands, the tops of two undersea mountains rising from the depth, are located about 50 nautical miles off-shore, near the town of Quseir. Part of the Marine Park, they offer breathtaking underwater scenery, wall diving along their whole perimeter and the possibility to spot a wide variety of pelagics.
Their walls are covered in soft corals of all colours, black corals and forests of fan corals creating a true feast for the eyes. Big tuna, shoals of jack fish and snappers cruise in the blue accompanied by hammerhead, grey reef, silver-tip, silky and oceanic white-tip sharks and mantas. The thresher shark, an oceanic species, very rarely spotted close to reefs, circles the walls of the Brothers on a regular basis. The huge and spectacular moonfish can also be observed near the reefs
The Aida II, an Egyptian supply vessel and the Numibia, a cargo ship, lie on the walls of the Big Brother. They are covered in soft and hard corals and they are a real treat.
Daedalus Reef, also part of the Marine Park, is the most off-shore of all the reefs in the Egyptian Red Sea. It is a big oval reef with a lighthouse and its perimeter of walls offers some of the most stunning diving in the Red Sea. Typical of Daedalus are its huge and pristine hard coral formations and the possibility to spot schooling hammerheads. Thresher sharks, mantas and whale sharks can also be spotted here.
Last but not least, this itinerary finishes with Elphinstone, a truly legendary reef with its north and south plateaus and its walls covered in soft corals. Hammerhead and grey reef sharks can also be spotted here on a regular basis
Marine Park D/R/Z
Enjoy the majesty of the off-shore reefs and the splendour of the coastal ones. The shear walls of Elphinstone Reef plunge steeply into the blue richly decorated with soft and fan corals. The north plateau is home to schooling hammerhead and grey reef sharks with frequent sightings of oceanic white-tip sharks.
Daedalus Reef, also called Abu El Kizan, is the most off-shore of all the reefs in the Egyptian Red Sea. With walls around the whole of its large perimeter, it is famous for its huge hard coral formations, its schooling hammerheads and sightings of thresher sharks and whale sharks. Big napoleon fish can also be observed looking curiously at the divers while you cruise along the shear walls covered in soft corals. Do not forget to pay a visit to its anemone garden with clouds of clown fish protecting them. It is unique in its size and beauty.
Rocky and Zabargad Islands lie close together to the south-east of Ras Banas. Rocky's shear walls are covered in a stunning forrest of soft and fan corals. Juvenile white-tip sharks can be observed sleeping under huge, very scenic overhangs. Mantas, hammerhead and grey reef sharks often visit the island and napoleon fish dance in your bubbles.
Zabargad Island, amazing in its spectacular beauty, was used as a precious stone mine in ancient times. Along its southern side a shallow shelf displays a large number of high pinnacles completely covered in soft corals and clouds of antheas offering amazing diving. The drop-off offers hammerhead, grey reef shark and manta sightings. On its north-eastern side a small shallow wreck can be dived upon.
On the way back you will dive the spectacular and very varied reefs of St Johns offering wall and shelf diving of the most pristine beauty densely populated by all the reef fish and visited by many types of different pelagics. Typical for the area is the impressive and peculiar bump-head parrotfish not seen further north

Vous avez sans doute déjà vu cette photo satellite un triangle de terre ocre émergeant du bleu profond de la mer. Les océans environnants ont déversé leurs eaux dans la gigantesque faille résultant de cette séparation et a ainsi donne naissance à la Mer Rouge. |
